Kitchen and rear-room renovations in Ringwood East.
Mel One renovates Ringwood East kitchens, connected interiors and selected rear exterior finishes. For a townhouse or home reached through shared access, the work sequence joins practical removal and installation with the need to keep the agreed access route usable.
Join the rear-room work into one clear result.
A new kitchen can leave an old ceiling patch, unfinished floor edge or damaged surface beside the rear opening. We define the room changes together, distinguishing the cabinet layout from the adjoining floor, wall and exterior finish. If a larger opening or a changed level is proposed, its structure, weather detailing and approvals require assessment. A surface renewal does not automatically include reconstructing the building around it.
Prepare without blocking the shared route.
We protect retained rooms and the material route before removal. For shared-driveway access, we plan delivery positions and waste collection around the access other occupants still need. Common-property work requires the relevant authorisation. Before a stage interrupts a doorway or essential service, we consider the household’s remaining access and facilities and keep the agreed material route clear.
Complete removal, preparation and installation by stage.
The agreed sequence may renew the kitchen first, then the adjacent living surface or external edge. Within each stage, affected cabinets and finishes are removed, the exposed support is prepared or repaired, and new items are installed in the order their connections require. Plumbing, electrical and any structural changes need the appropriate responsible practitioners. Work at an opening also needs planned temporary protection so an unfinished junction is not left dependent on an assumed dry day.
Finish each stage at a usable boundary.
A stage should end at a meaningful point: a completed kitchen surface, an agreed doorway transition or a repaired wall ready for its final decoration. We check doors, cabinet movement and finish limits before moving the work zone. The final stage includes the agreed inside-to-outside junction and route clean-up. Items excluded or reserved for later work are identified, avoiding a finished-looking room that still leaves an unexplained gap at its edge.

Before you get started
Can the kitchen and rear finishes be completed in stages?
Yes, where the proposed sequence leaves workable facilities and clear finish boundaries. Staging is not simply stopping midway through a connected assembly; service availability, temporary protection and the final junction need to be addressed for each stage.
Is a shared driveway part of the work site?
Only within the access and permissions agreed for the project. Other occupants’ access and common-property boundaries still apply. Using a route for deliveries does not imply permission to alter it, store waste indefinitely or obstruct the remaining dwellings.
Can the rear opening remain unchanged?
Yes, if it suits the intended layout and is in suitable condition. New cabinetry and finishes can meet a retained opening. Altering its size, support or level is separate scope and needs the relevant assessment rather than being implied by a kitchen update.
